Vaccination

Performed in Paediatrics.

What is it?

Childhood vaccination means giving vaccines that prepare the body to defend itself against certain infectious diseases. It follows a schedule that starts in the first months of life. This schedule is updated regularly.

What to expect

The vaccine is given by a quick injection, or by mouth for some vaccines. Several appointments are planned at different ages, and the child may have a small reaction where the injection was given.
