Mammography
Performed in Radiology and medical imaging.
What is it?
A mammogram is an X-ray of the breasts. It is used to look for early signs of breast cancer, notably in screening.
What to expect
Each breast is briefly pressed between two plates to take the image, which can be uncomfortable. The examination is short.
